Does poetry need pain, or metaphors of rain?
Is the emotive word lost without sadness?
Do I write for gain, or a need to explain?
Should I persevere when I write such badness?
Is it a quest for fame, or a simple word game?
Or the alternative to failing as an actress?
Rhymes with mane, the lions reign?
Does anyone even care less?
Am I the elloquent dame, or just very lame?
Does anyone read and say 'aww bless'?
Poetry in the main, is a dreadul shame,
When it's author is clearly so hopeless.
