The communication revolution has made the world smaller and more instant, three hour old news is passe, and there just are'nt enough natural disasters or plane crashes in the world to keep things interesting.
The problem now is the lack of content to communicate with all this super fast technology, we're stretched so thin on something to talk about that Rebecca Black just managed to go viral with a song about a day of the week, but there is still hope for us because every now and then something comes along that's worth talking about.
These are things that involve loads of people getting killed, like a radioactive explosion, or a plane crashing into a city.
The problem is that these things don't happen often enough to make it worth listening into the relentless stream of information coming our way. We're now so desensitised to the mundante murders and killings of every day life that we need bigger body counts to peek our interest.
To solve this problem I propose we set off some nuclear explosions in fault lines. If the Earthquakes and Tsunami's don't create some interesting news, the radioactivity might at least create some interesting fish for when the news goes into silly season.
