Celebrate Their Heathen Non-Believing Deaths

I woke up this morning to find that Twitter was awash with news of the tragedy in Japan.

Watching footage of the Tsunami was incredibly shocking and left me feeling numb as buildings toppled over buildings and people attempted in vein to race away from the ensuing wave of death and destruction.

I live in hope that my old friend Fuka and her family are all alive and well, and will spend some time this weekend trying to reach her.

Anyway moving swiftly on from my personal concerns and onto my opinion - which is why you are here right?

I noticed with horror the responses of the Twitterati to the disaster, namely a plethora of tweets and comments on various videos and images stating in all sincerity, "God bless Japan" and "God save Japan", albeit with far less use of correct capitalisation.

I am sure that I am surely not the only one person thinking that if a person believes in God, Tooth Fairys and Santa Claus, and in this case specifically God, then they must also believe that God did this.

You can't wish that an all-powerful all-knowing omnipresent omnipotent God bless the very people he is deliberately and ruthlessly killing, maiming, slaughtering, condemning to poverty and outright massacaring in an act of Genocide that leaves the dispactable and depraved acts of man seem like buying flowers and chocolates for your misses.

So surely if you then ask the same God to bless the very people he is deliberately killing, then you are committing blasphemy, heresy, and all manner of other religious sins.

What in fact you should be doing is celebrating your Gods wanton acts of mindless destruction, and praising the gruesome manner in which these people have died. Probably because they are non-believers.

What's more you had better do this quickly! Get down on your knees right now and pray as hard as you damned well can for the love of all that you hold divine that your really pissed off and angry God doesn't include you in his wave of destruction - especially if you live on an island nation like good old Blighty.

Finaly, and here's a thought - instead of making yourself feel better by giving them a little bit of bless from your God (which shouldn't make you feel better as it involves no personal sacrifice from yourself - other than eternal damnation for not celebrating your Gods actions)...

Instead why not make yourself feel better by actually doing something about it? Maybe volunteer your body for use as a sandbag against the flooding or something.

Alternatively you might give consideration to buying yourself some credit in the afterlife by saving your God some work and going off and shooting some other non-believers in the countries that your God missed - like the middle East, there hasn't been a good natural disaster since the blizzards to hit Afghanistan 3 years back - and right now there's so many bullets wizzing around in the Middle East that there's a good chance you'll die, and that would surely make the world a better place - it's WIN WIN!

Seriously I hope Fuka is OK.
