I know I do have a tendency to mock the afflicted, and I consider none more afflicted than Christians, but one thing has really been bugging me lately that I just have to air.
Almost all British towns pay homage to the illicit substance abuse of those the Christian church holds aloft and brands as "Saints", and yet this ill forgotten fact is so often overlooked.
We know that the majority of those the Church calls "Saints" abused drugs because that's how you get high, and we remember this in Britain with a lasting monument to their fallen need for vice by naming roads after the fact.
In fact there are over a 1000 roads in England alone called "High St", which is more than any other memorial road name to a saint.
Despite this most people believe that the saints are all still Godly and pure and divine. Many even think that the late politician Mother Teresa - who launched a campaign to deny rape victims care - is deserving of sainthood, despite the fact that she amassed a 9 digit personal fortune by beating and tying up poor children in Kolcotta, and dismissing the cross infection of typhoid to her staff as "Gods Will" rather than the fact she refused to spare any of her immense personal wealth to buy equipment.
For someone to have been so cruel as Mother Teresa was, and for so many to have blindly worshipped her and now to seek her canonisation must be the work of drugs.
And for all the work she did in "Gods" name, did you know she also said this, and I quote...
"Where is my faith? Even deep down ... there is nothing but emptiness and darkness ... If there be God—please forgive me. When I try to raise my thoughts to Heaven, there is such convicting emptiness that those very thoughts return like sharp knives and hurt my very soul ... How painful is this unknown pain—I have no Faith. Repulsed, empty, no faith, no love, no zeal, ... What do I labor for? If there be no God, there can be no soul. If there be no soul then, Jesus, You also are not true".
So basically Mother Teresa was a child abusing aetheist who profited an immense personal fortune despite assisting in the murder of her staff, and the Church and its followers worship her for it and want to make her a saint?
And you are telling me that no drugs are involved in this process?
It's either drugs, or faith is a far far worse sin - because believe me when I say there is nothing her that is rational.
